MONSURA WINS A REMI AWARD!!

In March, we were advised that Monsura is Waiting had been chosen to win a prestigious Remi Award, at the 47th Annual Worldfest-Houston International Film Festival. Worldfest notifies the winners, however we are not told what level we have won, Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum, until the evening of the awards ceremony, which was last Saturday, April 12th.

Monsura is Waiting received a Silver Remi Award for Shorts – Dark/Black Comedy.

This year Worldfest Houston received over 4,500 entries from 33 countries.  The WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival was founded in 1961 by Hunter Todd in Houston, Texas, and remains an annual film festival held each April, dedicated to recognizing excellence in various types of independent films and filmmaking.

REVIEW

“The quirky 15-minute comic gem “Monsura is Waiting”, directed by Kevin Newbury, also debuted Friday night. It is already scheduled for two other festivals elsewhere this spring and will have another area screening this summer during the New Hope Film Festival. It’s worth the trip to Bucks County just to see this odd and funny film.”
